Does anyone else suffer with indegestion? I have been on hydroxychloroquine and dicofenac for inflammation. Also this last week my steriod injection is wearing off so have been taking some Codeine for the pain. For the last week days the indegestion is so painful, also can anyone suggest anything to help me??
Many thanks

Go to see your GP Alison and ask for smething to protect your stomach. I take Omeprazole which protects my stomach from the effects of the other meds. A couple of years ago, I ended up with a stomach ulcer and if I don't take it for any reason, the heartburn gets really bad.

Yes I agree with Bub see your GP - it could be IBS or it might even by gallstones - which they can see by ultrasound scan of your gallbladder. Don't assume it's indigestion. You can't take indigestion remedies with Hydroxichloraquine and it does have gastric problems listed as a common side effect. I can't take Diclofenac at all it blocks me up and gives me fluid retention so it could be the culprit too. Tilda x

you can't take indigestion remedies on Hydroxy? That's a new one on me? Whoops, I do tend to indulge in them as the stomach protectors alone not enough. Px
Well it does say that on my packet always but I think it's only for a few hours before and after taking it maybe? I used to live on them but don't touch them now because of this as I can never remember what I've taken and when these days so safest just not to take at all! TTx
I was on Dic for many years after stomach problems they took it off me and gave Naproxen instead and insisted I take Lansoprazole to protect the lining of my stomach.
Go see your GP there are things they can do to help
