I've had tinnitus for nearly 17yrs. It was caused by a drug i was put on to sort my womb out. It didn't and i have suffered ever since, so i wouldn't rule out the steroids out of the cause. Tinnitus is a awful thing to have,the more stress your under the worse it gets. Sylvi.xx

I have had tinitis for about 10 years. I don't know where it came from but I wish it would go away. I always feel like there is NO quiet place. So I feel for you all. X

I have had tinnitus for over 20 years, don't know what started it, but my understanding is once you have it, it doesn't go away, yes it gets worse with stress, you get used to it, but its something id rather not have, I feel for you xx

I have had tinnitus for a couple of years. I have been on steroids for 6 months so it can't be anything to do with that. I had been on MXT for 12 years prior to the steroids - so I don't think it can be that either. Maybe it's another autoimmune condition????!! I seem to have a few now! Just a thought anyway.

Well the the steroids or the metho could be the culprit, I have also been on metho and reckon its to blame for a few things that I have put up with now

Hi Zusan, I had tinitus start years ago when I had been taking naprozine for quite a while (years). My GP changed me to diclofenac and the tinitus disappeared almost over night.

(Now and again I get it slightly but usually when I'm just about ready to go to sleep so guess then it's down to tiredness).
