Putting it on record so I remember to watch it..... thankyou Sandra

Got an ATOS meeting to assess me for a longterm DLA claim awarded to me in 2006 for damage to my left arm, due to breast cancer surgery.

hey... have written on here before...but not for ages. daughter has r.a and self injects embrel 2x a week, and methotrexate 1x a week she is 15 and has had r.a since she was 6... only started on embrel in november but been on meth for 10 years,,, she is having trouble with the injection site for embrel... skin toughened up, and she now finds it harder to get needle in.... any advice?she has r.a in jaw, fingers knees ankles and big toes... but has started getting pain in her hip... is this possible that r.a is in her hip? anybody else get extreme heavy periods too?any long term ladies advice would be fab...p.s she sees rhuemy every 6 weeks in kent and max fax at g.o.s.h every 6 weeks for her jaw.

I don't have any experience of injections but I do have it in my hip. I also had very heavy periods too - but hopefully they can help with it better now.
can I suggest you post it all as a question and then more people will see it,
it's been hard having ra since I was 20, but I feel for your daughter.
mine was diagnosed as juvenile [even at 20] and I did have a long remission once, My joints swell but have never deformed and I'm 56 now.
regards,
sandra.
