Morning all, yes it is only 2.20am and i have been down here for an hour now. I don't know what hurts the most my hands or my knees. I could cry with the frustration at the moment. Both my hands hurt now, where before it was only in my right side it is now residing in my left hand now. My knees are both the same very hot and painful.

Hope you all have a better night than what i'll be having. I will try to get some sleep.........

I have fingerless gloves so that sorts that problem. I did get some sleep on my recliner thank goodness.

The sun is shining and it is pouring with rain. No wonder we are suffering like we are when the weather is so topsy turvy.

Thanks for the hugs.xxx

Oh so sorry to hear you in pain, I've been waiting for the moment I could become like you, always upbeat and not complaining, I'm sad for you as I'm not hurting at the moment, but know very much how sickening it is when you've done everything and you still hurt! I guess you tried the frozen peas on the knees? And this weather? What can one say, we had tremendous thunder storms Wed night but we hadn't even had the sun or the heat first. I'm looking forward to when this high comes over and we get the predicted sun shine, it needs to keep up a couple of weeks as camping looming, had first OT appointment yesterday, it was ironic as I was feeling the best I have for weeks, apart from feeling the seasickness of MTX was told to pace myself, so must get out of bed now as promised my OH a fruit cake. Tender loving Hugs

Carol,i do try to be upbeat about this ruddy disease, but at times even i hit the proverble brick wall. I will be feeling brighter when the sun shines and i can get out into the garden with my rocking chair. I have been going through the writing bureau and sorting things out. I have had enough don't know what i'll feel like as the day goes on.

I want some of your fruit cake please!! Hope hubby enjoys it. sylvi.xx

with pleasure you can have some, but fatigue got the better of me and it got burnt, OH will never notice, He eats everything I dish up and says it's lovely, He's just perfect, unlike me and my food. But we all wish you the best of painfree health cause it's you we love.

Thats lovely of you to say so. Thank you.xx

Hi Sylvie,Sorry about your pain. When did you go back on MTX? I remember you saying you had started again after your op.Maybe it hasn't kicked in yet.

I'm glad you got some sleep after all. Nothing worse for pain I find than feeling the effects of sleep deprivation on top of everything else.

Here's hoping you feel a little better soon.

It is my third week on a low dose of mtx so it isn't effective yet. I am still having problems with my breathing so i am not sure what the rheumy will say when i go in august. I feel a bit brighter now,but later we'll see. sylvi.xx

Hi Sylvi,

what an awful night you've had. Hope you feel a bit brighter after managing to get some sleep. Maybe if the sun shines where you are and the rain finally stops you can have a little snooze in the garden, Take care.

Hi Sylvi

We must have had the same tea last night as i too was suffering with my hands. I was up most of the night but the pain in my right hand was horrendous. It shot right up my arm to my elbows and my fingers felt as though they were going to burst.. They have calmed a bit but still aching and fingertips keep going numb... It is getting me down at the moment though as although i was in remission about 2 months ago it seems to be returning with a vengeance. I am lucky if I have 2 days a week now without any pain and my rheumy appt has been moved twice which is now in November. Not sure what to do to be honest as don't know if my GP can increase my meds or not? I am going next Thursday as had tests for yes you guessed it The dreaded menopause. Been having flushes for weeks and I can have upto 3 in 1 hour. I am just checking it is not linked to the RA. Falling apart at the moment and fed up with it.

So sorry to hear you had a bad night, things are always worse

at night.

I spend the night watching old game shows on Challenge TV, I

make a cuppa and stuff some painkillers down and lay there

and recall the good old days.

This humid wet weather is hell for us, my nurse friend tells me that

all the Arthritis patients are in agony and loads of people are

depressed.

We should all move to a decent climate if there is such a thing

these days.

Hi Sylvi, don't worry about replying to me - just want to say sorry to hear you've been in pain & glad you're feeling a bit better in yourself now. I've had a rubbish few days too but woke up feeling tons better for no apparent reason. I just can't believe how things change from day to day.

Hope you get some rays tomorrow. Christina xx

Hi Sylvi

Is the horrible pain due to the dampness & weather???

It's a b***h when one side hurts and like you its mainly my right side that hurts more than the left. But to have both sides minging - well I feel it for you girl.

Sending big (((((HUGS))))) to you and hope the horrible pain subsides soon - enough for you to sleep in your bed at least!

Look on the bright side, I think you write some of the most funniest/ & your blogs when you can't sleep! It seems your creative juices are at your best between 1-3 am lol!!!

Take care hun

Well darn, Sylvie, I was hoping by now to read of you being lots better. It definetly is the high humidity that makes us all hurt more! Ha! I just fell asleep at the keyboard for a moment :) It is 12:45 am, I haven't been staying up this late for a long time, but I was so far behind in reading blogs, I made up my mind I would get at it and not stop. Takes more time than I thought!

I can't increase my MTX any more either, my kidney function tests are running a bit high, so I have to make sure I drink plenty of water or some such thing during the day. No problem when I'm dripping sweat, with the temp in the 90's, and all I'm doing is running the big vac. I hate sweating!

Hope you get out to the garden soon, some warm sun on your hands will really help! Take care, sweetie, L.xx

Morning girls, well i did sleep well thank goodness. I hate to have to say it,but my ra is playing silly games with me this morning. I don't know what to do with my hands, but hey ho the sun is gonna shine and i will be out there in my rocking chair. So i will get hubby to take some photos.

I am brighter in myself, wish i could say the same for my hands. I have got up as i was in pain at 5.30am so i have put the washing machine on so for a change i will be able to put the washing on the line. Now that will be a change won't it.

I hope where ever you are you will be enjoying this lovely weather. xxxx
